Made in DUS with a keyboard
As you see in the URL this is a subdomain of tobiasriemenschneider.com. This place is dedicated to Tailwind. As the title says I use it for deploying small experiments I built in order to try out something and become better at it.
Doing everything in React, I was using CSS-in-JS styling solutions like Styled Components or Emotion most of the time. However, I had an eye on Tailwind already since quite some time, but never fully commited to it.
Recently then I read something about the shortcomings of CSS-in-JS approaches. The disadvantages being runtime overhead, increased bundle sizes and problems when combining SSR with component libraries like Chakra UI.
And looking at the npm downloads Tailwind must be doing something right, I guess.
Reason enough for me to dive in a little bit deeper. So here we go; that’s what you are looking at.
